REPRESENTATIVE PROJECT:

As part of our work on the New England Business Center in Andover, Massachusetts, RECON collaborated with the Construction Manager to deliver specialized building envelope consulting services. Our role began with a thorough review and comment on the project’s design drawings and specifications, ensuring that critical materials, installation methods, and detailing met established best practices for performance and durability. By conducting this evaluation at the outset, we were able to identify potential issues and recommend solutions well before construction, paving the way for a smoother project execution.

During the construction phase, RECON assumed responsibility for overseeing water testing procedures. This crucial step verified the integrity of key building envelope components, helping prevent water infiltration that could lead to structural damage or mold growth. Through vigilant observation and prompt feedback, we not only helped maintain stringent quality control but also supported the Construction Manager in making any necessary adjustments without incurring significant delays or added expenses.

Additionally, RECON conducted regular construction observations and documented our findings through detailed Field Reports. These reports provided both the Construction Manager with clear, actionable insights into on-site progress, identified potential concerns, and recommended corrective measures when necessary. By maintaining open communication and cooperation across all project stakeholders, we ensured that the New England Business Center’s building envelope would meet the high standards of performance and longevity the project demanded.
