REPRESENTITIVE PROJECT:

As part of our involvement with the Arsenal Yards development at 100 Forge Road in Watertown, Massachusetts, RECON collaborated to support the Construction Manager through specialized building envelope consulting services. Our efforts began with a thorough review of design drawings and specifications, during which we provided targeted feedback to strengthen materials selection, detailing, and overall performance. By collaborating closely with the project team at this early stage, we were able to identify potential risks and propose proactive solutions, reducing the likelihood of costly surprises or rework. 

Throughout the project, RECON played a hands-on role in resolving complex detail conditions and ensuring the building envelope remained water-tight and energy-efficient. We worked side-by-side with the Construction Manager and the wider project team, offering expert insight into best practices for air, water, and thermal management. Additionally, we participated in construction phase water penetration resistance testing, verifying the integrity of critical components and ensuring that any issues were promptly addressed. This meticulous approach helped maintain the schedule and budget, while upholding the high-quality standards demanded by a project of this caliber. 

During construction observation, RECON diligently prepared and issued Field Reports that detailed our findings, highlighted any concerns, and provided recommendations for corrective actions or improvements. These comprehensive reports allowed the Construction Manager and other stakeholders to maintain transparent communication about site progress and performance. By prioritizing clear documentation and proactive problem-solving, we helped establish an enduring, robust building envelope for Arsenal Yards at 100 Forge Road—one that is as functional and efficient as it is visually impressive.
